Lacey Nymeyer is in our ward. She is a senior at the U of A. She has broken a world record and has qualified to go to the Olympics. She was home for just tonight before she leaves for Stanford for more training, then on to Singapore and Beijing. They had a huge farewell for her tonight and Mountain View High School. The press was there and a packed gymnasium of friends and family to see her off. It was so cool! They had video set up of her qualifying meets in Omaha Nebraska. Her dad started the program out and then introduced Jim Click. He is a prominent business man in Tucson, who has made a lot of this possible for Lacey. He is also going to see to it that her parents are able to go with Lacey to support her. I think this is a really generous thing to do. Mr. Click spoke for a few minutes and then introduced Lacey. She gave a wonderful talk to thank everyone for all their prayers and support. She is such a wonderful woman and we wish her all the best. Go Lacey!!Monday, July 7, 2008

We went to the Salt River for the Fouth of July! We took Aunt Sandi and Uncle Curtis with us. We had a blast! Here are some pictures of us floating down the river. It took us 4 hours. Our cooler had it's own innertube and was the center hub of our group. We put the camera in the cooler and it kinda got frosted and the pictures turned out foggy till the camera warmed up. You can guess who was taking all of the pictures. The one not in any of them. (Patti)
Sorry we don't have any pictures of the rapids. Mom had to put the camera away so it wouldn't get wet. They were kinda wild!!! HAHAHA
